Vincent Riou est arrivé en fin d’après-midi aux Sables d’Olonne après un convoyage d’environ 8 heures dans un vent soutenu entre 25 et 35 nœuds d’est-nord-est. Le bateau a filé au reaching à 18-22 nœuds pour rejoindre Port Olona où il restera amarré au ponton du Vendée Globe pendant les trois prochaines semaines. Un convoyage convivial avec, aux côtés de Vincent, Jean-Jacques Laurent, président de PRB et Baptiste Vignes, champion du monde de voltige aérienne et pilote de l’avion sponsorisé par l’entreprise vendéenne. L’occasion pour le skipper et son sponsor de partager une dernière navigation ensemble avant le départ du Tour du Monde. Le bateau orange et noir restera au ponton du Vendée Globe jusqu’au dimanche 6 novembre. Il sera le dernier à quitter Port Olona pour rejoindre la ligne de départ. At the lower southeast corner of the reef there is Halfmoon Cay an idyllic tropical island that is home to a bird sanctuary full of frigate and redfooted booby birds.
