Compramos el barco en el Puerto de El Masnou y, tras tres semanas de pequeñas navegaciones y algunos arreglos menores, decidimos trasladar nuestro velero hasta nuestro puerto base, en Segur de Calafell. Tiny land yacht using parts from an old solar car. I first tried at home with a handheld fan and it quite worked. I was getting frustrated but before throwing it all away, I decided to try outside. Great idea you see. This thing flies!! Not windy at all, just breezy. Have a look at the water coming towards the camera... Sail is made from a very thin fridge bag. You can glue it. I instead used a thermal sealing device to make a tube to insert the bbq skewer. The wheels are cheap plastic and very slippery, so I put some thin rubber bands. I bet the neck of a party balloon will work even better. A cork with an indentation is all it takes to clamp the sewing string and set the angle of the boom.

The crew was back in Dublin late on Friday night so we could kick off the last leg of the delivery early on Saturday morning. We were welcomed by another cold morning but this time with perfect 10 to 15 knots to help us motor sail up the coast. We were once again blessed to be visited by a pod of Dolphins for over 20 minutes when we were just south of Newcastle.
