With talks of a 6 month lockdown coming to Spain we decided to put a pause on our journey and spend time with Ceylan's family in Cyprus. Due to all the restrictions, we haven't had a chance to fully get into our new life on sea but thought safety was priority and so we sadly left our boat for a little while. We are so grateful that we got to spend some time on sea in 2020 and hope you enjoy the next couple videos on land. We were aware that we would be sent to government approved quarantine rooms when we landed in North Cyprus, but were hoping we may be able to isolate in our home there. When we landed in North Cyprus our passports were confiscated and put onto a coach. We heard that the approved rooms can be anything from University Dorms to 5 Star Hotels. We were in a coach full of students and were driven AWAY from the 5 star hotels so we were a little apprehensive on the journey. SeaDoo GTR 230 back from the dead after installing a new Jet pump Its been 4 weeks since my ski sadly broke but luckily it wasn't any serious damage. The jet pump bearing collapsed causing the whole jet unit to seize up which in turn lost the Solas Prop I had in it. I now temporarily have the stock prop in which doesn't cooperate well with the tune that is on the ski so the rpms are much lower than usual which in turn gives a slightly lower top speed. We removed the depth transducer and fiberglassed over the hole, but wanted to use it as a redundant backup. So, we removed an old and broken knot-meter and re-used its hole for the sonar, using 3M 5200 marine adhesive sealant.
