Op 16 oktober 2021 start de Singlehanded vanuit Lelystad en ik doe daar aan mee. Het doel van de Singlehanded is, om met minimaal motorgebruik de vaaropdracht uit te voeren die ongeveer 200 mijl zal bedragen. Tot de start is deze vaaropdracht onbekend. En binnen 1 uur na de start moet je de geschatte vaartijd doorgeven aan de wedstrijdcommissie. Het is leuk om solo te zeilen en in deze Singlehanded is het Solozeilen maar niet alleen! 🇬🇧 On the weather charts, the ridge of high pressure is a solid dark blue of no wind ☀️. In reality it’s full of faint puffs from every direction, some isolated corridors of wind and other areas of complete calms. Incredibly, Sébastien Marsset - Navigateur and Fabrice Amedeo have just sailed past Isabelle Joschke - Skipper MACSF and I. They never stopped, and averaged 8 knots of boat speed while slipping past just 10 miles away. Meanwhile Isa and I have been stuck like glue in a completely different wind, sailing only 22miles in the last 8 hours. 😩 It’s frustrating to be stuck, but the race is far from over and there’s plenty of opportunities to catch up in the coming days. 💪 🇫🇷 Sur les cartes météo, la dorsale anticyclonique est un bleu foncé, qui vetu dire une solide d'absence de vent ☀️. En réalité, elle est pleine de faibles bouffées venant de toutes les directions, de quelques couloirs de vent isolés et d'autres zones de calmes complets. Incroyablement, Sébastien Marsset et Fabrice Amedeo viennent de passer devant Isabelle Joschke et moi. Ils ne se sont jamais arrêtés et ont atteint une vitesse moyenne de 8 nœuds en passant à seulement 10 milles de nous. Pendant ce temps, Isa et moi avons été collés comme de la glue dans un vent complètement différent d'eux, naviguant seulement 22 miles durant les 8 dernières heures 😩. C'est frustrant d'être bloqué, mais la course est loin d'être terminée et il y a beaucoup d'occasions de se rattraper dans les jours à venir 💪. #vendéearctique
