Making our way back to the FEARSOME GREEK CAPES - Known for swallowing ships and called the "GATEWAY TO THE UNDERWORLD by the ancient GREEK MARINERS ! In this episode we take a trip back into Porto Heli to refuel and replenish our food stocks before heading South back towards #capemaleas the southern most tip of mainland Greece. A mixed feeling, Happy to be heading "home" and sad to be leaving the Agean Sea, we had a fantastic summer season in and around Greece and have covered over 1500 miles bouncing from island to island. But it's time to pay the ferry man, there's maintenance to do, some major repairs and several upgrades that we want before we head West back out of the Med... The story continues. In the first days of October I went to the most southern tip of Mozambique to explore the underwaterworld of Ponta do Ouro. Just one kilometer away from the South African border you can explore divesites full of fish and large megafauna (Bull Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Silver Tip Sharks, Manta Rays and many more). But I also encountered bad visibility and a water temperature of about 19-20 degrees which is quite unusual for this time of the year. Maybe the best part about the months September and October, is the constant sighting of humpback whales from shore or from the zodiac (speedboat).
