An impressive show with a true "wow" moment. That was the general impression of more than 140 visitors at the Storm Party. In particular, the moment of revealing the hull of the Storm S-78 was special. Partly thanks to a spectacular lightshow, the robust design lines were emphasized in a fantastic way. Exactly as our design promised it would be. From bow to stern, powerful and graceful. The cosy decor, the spectacular light show, the wonderful catering, delicious cocktails and swinging music all created the right atmosphere and were essential ingredients for a successful Storm Party. The efficient and professional organisation was also experienced by the guests, who had a wonderful time!

La Generali Solo est une course à la voile par étapes se déroulant en mer Méditerranée sur des Figaro Bénéteau 2. La Generali Solo est la dernière manche du Championnat Elite de course au Large en solitaire et compte pour coefficient 4 dans le classement général. Après la Solo Maître CoQ et la Solitaire du Figaro Eric Bompard cachemire, qui ont fait sillonner les côtes Atlantiques de l’Angleterre à l’Espagne, les Figaristes vont cette fois ci s’affronter sur les eaux chaudes de Méditerranée de Sète à Nice pour terminer à Barcelone. With nothing but open ocean from the bottom of Australia/New Zealand to Antartica; 1,000nm to the south, the ocean swell can build in height with no land to stop it for more than 2,500nm until it hits the shores of the Pacific Islands. There many reasons why more people have climbed Mount Everest than have sailed across the Tasman Sea and the rapidly changing nature of the Tasman Sea's weather system is one of them. I have crossed the Tasman Sea five times (two solo) on Ocean Gem, the keys to success include waiting for the weather window, downloading live weather en-route and sailing a vessel thats easy to mode for all wind and swell conditions. Despite its reputation for extreme conditions, the Tasman Sea is easy to cross safely if you stay clear of the winter storm season (late May to August) and wait for a safe weather window. It’s an absolute bucket-list voyage and a hugely satisfying personal achievement. We'll depart Picton and spend the first 12-16 hours getting clear of the South Island Coast, before setting a NW course toward Southport on Queensland's Gold Coast. The sea life, milky way, phosphorescence and tranquility of crossing an ocean and seeing no other vessels for the bulk of the voyage, really make this a special sailing experience. West Coast Multihulls partnered with Denison Yachting to host the 2019 Catalina Rendezvous. The event kicked off with a Thursday night meet-and-greet on the back deck of the Harbor Reef restaurant. Friday started with a dinghy raft-up pancake breakfast off the back of Flite Deck. The day finished with a Oscar themed party at Harbor Sands. On Saturday, the catamarans had a rally to the back side of the island and rafted up in Catalina Harbor for social hour boat hop.
