Llevamos ya una semana de travesía desde que dejamos Cabo Verde sin muchas complicaciones, sin embargo, empezamos a tener los primeros problemas que irán sumando al cúmulo de problemas que vienen... Poco a poco vamos llegando al Ecuador de la travesía, en este vídeo estamos literalmente en medio del Atlántico, 1.000 millas de la Tierra más cercana. Lanzamos una botella con una carta en el Ecuador como buena costumbre marinera con el fin de que llegue algún día a un lector. También Tenemos un visitante en alta mar que nos acompaña durante todo un día de navegación, al cual intentamos alimentar. Después que lo vemos es alucinante como un pájaro puede llamarnos tanto la atención, pero el contexto es un pájaro en medio del atlántico después de llevar días sin ver otro ser vivo. Con viento suave volvemos a sacar nuestra vela estrella, el Gennaker, el cual tras una hora nos da un buen susto... Parece que ya no podremos usar esta vela en lo que resta de travesía. Vean y juzguen, recuerdos al que nos instaló el botalón, cosas que pasan. Ese mismo día también se nos suma otro problema con el Génova, sale volando el grillete del puño de la vela. Continuamos triunfando con la pesca con varios dorados (mahi mahi, poniendo los peces voladores que encontramos en la cubierta de cebo. Una buena táctica para el currican, pulpito falso y pez volador, combinanción letal. La meteo nos ofrece muy valiosa información que viene viento, pasamos de 15-20 nudos a 20-25 nudos. Nos preparamos para ello reduciendo vela y siendo más precavidos, sin embargo, esa misma noche se nos apaga el piloto automático y a la mañana siguiente continúan los disgustos...
