이번 작업은 AF(방오도료)를 칠하기 전 샌딩과 킬(Keel) 녹 제거, 그리고 AF 페인트 칠하는 작업을 진행했다. 1년 전에 칠해둔 AF 도막이 아직 많이 남아 있어서, 전체를 다 벗겨내지는 않고 도장이 벗겨져 겔코트가 드러난 부위만 프라이머로 칠해주는 '스팟 프라이밍(spot priming)' 방식을 선택했다. 기존 도막이 양호할 때 흔히 쓰는 유지보수 방법이다. 마침 가까운 곳에 International(브랜드)의 선박 전용 프라이머를 캔 스프레이로 소분 판매하는 곳이 있어 구입했다. 이 제품은 부식 방지 기능과 함께, AF 하도(밑칠용) 프라이머로도 쓰이는 에폭시 페인트다. 샌딩 하루, AF도색 하루 진행해서 총 이틀에 걸쳐 팀원들과 함께 즐겁게 진행했다. 벚꽃이 만발한 계절이라 마치 소풍 온 것 같았다. 새소리와 바람 소리, 따스한 햇살이 작업에 고요한 즐거움을 더해줬다. 이제 남은 작업은 스크류·소나 센서 도장, 그리고 헐(선체) 클리닝과 코팅이다. 마지막까지 즐겁고 재미나게 해보자!
