Most of the crew of the Barbados 50 went some day by ferry to the NE corner of ‘magic’ San Antao. A very enjoyable day trip from Mindelo. You could go on your own and hiring a taxi or you can arrange ahead a bus tour with one of the tour operators in Mindelo. Go up the top of the mountains then down deep in the valleys … Have a nice lunch at Maracuja restaurant and try to not miss the last ferry back! Sailing this coast is never easy but sailing in dense fog is no joke. With no radar and an unreliable AIS signal, we're left relying on sharp eyes, gut instinct and a little help from our buddy boat @sailingexcelsior , when a fishing trawler appeared (and disappeared!) on a collision course that raises the anxiety levels.
