After finding great crew, finally, Rebecca Childress nearly finishes her 14 year circumnavigation aboard SV Brick House, but stops 100 miles short in Great Inagua. 100 more miles to go! Josh finds our anchor chain has twisted in to a giant knot and has to unravel it. He shows how he does this, and explains the two models of the Mantus Anchor Chain hooks / snubbers that we have on this sailboat. She sets up the Iridium GO to take over the datahub and they put up the running pole and depart offshore for the Bahamas! At least now Rebecca has found very good crew, who carry on with her for the rest of her circumnavigation, making the rest of the ocean passage very pleasant. Rebecca has felt the great burden, responsibility and risk of making sure her boat is seaworthy and safe! For better or worse, it is paying off... she is almost there now...has almost finished her 14 year circumnavigation . What will come next for Rebecca Childress and her sailing life? 75 HARD Day 13: Back on Track & Building Discipline Day 13 of 75 Hard and things are starting to lock in. After getting back on track yesterday, today was all about staying consistent and adapting to the conditions. With unsettled weather here in the Aegean, I made sure to get my outdoor workout done early — a solid 13.5km bike ride before the rain set in. Yesterday’s 15km ride and Bullworker session set the tone, and now it’s about building momentum day by day. I’ve also started incorporating the Bullworker Iso-Bow into my routine — a simple but powerful bit of kit that’s perfect for boat life and travel. No excuses, no space needed, just pure muscle tension and control. On the mindset side, I’ve been reading Atomic Habits, which ties in perfectly with this challenge — focusing on small daily improvements that compound into massive results over time. This challenge isn’t about motivation… it’s about discipline. Finalmente ritorniamo in patria dopo tanti anni di Grecia. La traversata nel mar Ionio è stata abbastanza sofferta. Siamo partiti sfruttando una finestra tra varie perturbazioni affrontando mare e vento. Nella prima notte c'è chi è andato in panico, gli altri non erano molto affidabili per governare il timone. Le onde hanno smosso tutto lo sporco accumulato sul fondo dei serbatoi che ha otturato filtri e circuito per la nafta. Grazie al vento siamo riusciti ad avvicinarci a circa 25 miglia da Crotone, le ultime miglia le abbiamo fatte grazie ad un day tank improvvisato.
