Wir sind endlich in Spanien! Quasi ein halbes Jahr später kommen anstelle von A Coruna, in Santander an. Es regnet und ist kalt, aber wir sind fröhlich und erleichtert, haben wir die offene Biscaya hinter uns gelassen, eines der herausfordensten Meeresabschnitte der Welt, wie man sich erzählt. Stück für Stück fahren wir in den Westen und bleiben in einem kleinen Ort namens Ribadesella hängen. Die Costa Verde zeigt uns ihr grünes blühendes Gesicht und lässt uns trotz Regen, dahin schmelzen. Wir geniessen den vielfältigen Ort an der Sella. Machen stundenlange Wanderungen, werden Zeugen wie ein Ort fast vor Energie explodiert, wenn die Reiter mit ihren Pferden über den Pulversand galoppieren. Wieder warten wir auf Ersatzteile, aber hier ist soviel zu sehen, dass es keine Rolle spielt.

On y est, première sortie sur l'eau, enfin! théoriquement c'est ma deuxième sortie, la première j'étais en famille et je n'avais pas envie de filmer. on avait aussi une meilleure météo mais bon. Donc aujourd'hui petite viré devant le port, on va faire quelques manœuvres pour se familiariser avec le voilier vu que la première année avec le bateau à été que de travaux, je n'ai pas pu en profiter. Eigentlich sollte Curaçao nur ein kurzer Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg nach Kolumbien sein. Natürlich bleiben wir länger. Erst nehmen die Reparaturen einige Tage in Anspruch, dann wollen wir natürlich auch noch die Insel besichtigen. Und am Ende ist es wieder mal das Wetter, das unsere Weiterfahrt blockiert. Denn die kommende Etappe wird wahrscheinlich eine der schwersten - wir müssen das sogenannte Kap Hoorn der Karibik passieren. Da brauchen wir keinen Sturm. Und dann müssen wir noch eine traurige Nachricht loswerden...

The Nomad diving system is a portable diving system that will allow us to dive to depths of 30 feet for 45-60 minutes per battery charge. We purchased it in case we have to go below and conduct work on the hulls on “Moments in Time”, such as repairs, anodes replacements, bottom cleaning, anchor checks, and of course that large lobster that might be taunting me below. SCUBA tanks are heavy, they need to be securely stowed onboard, and require refilling, whether from a compressor onboard or onshore. For us, the Nomad system met our needs, easily portable with simple logistics, and will open a whole new underwater world for us with endless possibilities.
