Isn't this just typical boat life? You solve one problem, just to find a bunch more… The winter cover is starting to take place, with the scaffold being fitted and the template being made. And as we are soon entering the month of November, and the nights are getting colder we start to empty the boat of everything that could potentially freeze. Overestimating our capabilities, and underestimating the amount of stuff we have filled the boat with - we beleive we can do it in one day. Wir begeben uns auf Spurensuche, was aus unseren Freunden, die wir im Buch "Träum weiter!" portraitiert haben, geworden ist. Und dann steht auch schon die Rückreise an. Die Frage ist nur: Haben wir Murphy abschütteln können? Oder wartet er bereits auf der Dilly-Dally? Denn wer sein Boot für ein paar Wochen in dem feuchtwarmen Karibik-Klima zurücklässt, muss sich auf einiges gefasst machen.

In diesem Video stehe ich mitten in der eiskalten Werkstatt und versuche weiterhin, die Bodenwrang zu reparieren. Bei 0 bis 5 Grad Epoxid zu verarbeiten ist eine ziemlich schlechte Idee, aber irgendwie muss es weitergehen. Die Aufgabe hat sich als viel größer herausgestellt, als ich am Anfang gedacht habe, und ich habe mich ehrlich gesagt selbst überschätzt. Trotz Kälte, Fehlschlägen und weichem Epoxidharz versuche ich, mein altes Segelboot weiter auf Kurs zu halten. Die Bodenwrang-Reparatur bleibt eine echte Herausforderung und die Wintertemperaturen machen es nicht leichter. Danke, dass ihr mich auf diesem langen Weg begleitet. Ohne die Community wäre dieses Projekt nicht möglich.
