As the town of Lunenburg NS. opens up and starts preparing for the tourist season, and as spring is in the air, we also are looking forward to another year living aboard. Our dinghy needs to be completed before we start getting Eleutheros ready for the water. Mark starts planking the new dinghy using a plastic bag to steam bend the boards. At first the system is a little challenged, then Mark finds a better way to speed up the process.

In part 1 of our 5 part van diesel heater series, we test our new Chinese diesel heater before installing it in the van. We had heard that many of these heaters had issues straight out of the box but at a 10th the cost of an Esbar heater we thought we'd give it a shot. Join me, Ryan the Rogue Rigger on my journey of restoring a Mach 2 International Moth that I picked up earlier this year. I plan on upgrading it with all the modern systems with out breaking the bank and then I will take you along for the steep learning curve of learning to sail this Tasmanian devil of a boat. I have dreamed of owning one of these since they first came out back in 2008 when I got to take one for a spin. It was an unreal experience/feeling that I have been chasing ever since. At the time they were crazy expensive to buy and not in my budget. These days they are still crazy expensive to buy new, now there are a lot of older moths on the second hand market that are relatively affordable (Less than a Laser/ILCA in this case). For those of you who don't know, an International Moth is a single handed 11 foot long hydro foiling sailboat. These boats literally fly over the water on two hydrofoils doing speeds 2-3 times the speed of the wind. This video shows the upgrading of my moth boom. I remove the internal Cunningham system, removing old mainsheet and boom vang rigging. Bunch of carbon laminate work and putting it all back together in time to go sailing. Enjoy!

Our Atlantic Crossing to Brazil is here! Follow along on the first eight days of our passage. We leave Tenerife and set sail south and settle in for life at sea. We also sail from Madeira to Tenerife, give the engine some service and do other boat jobs. 🛠 Subscribe for more updates from our journey as we sail from Sweden to Brazil and the Caribbean. --------------------------------------------- Hi, we’re Thomas and Petra! In late August 2020, we set sail from Sweden on our first big adventure – a year-long journey to the Caribbean and back. Fast forward to October 2023, we took the plunge again and bought a Wasa 530, a sailboat that had been sitting idle for over 15 years. She was in need of some serious TLC, and we started the mission of transforming her into the ultimate blue water cruiser! On our channel, you’ll follow every step of this exciting journey – from boat renovations to sailing adventures. We post new videos bi-weekly on Saturdays, so subscribe and join us as we bring this beauty back to life! ⛵️More about our boat, Anne-Mon II: http://sailingannemon.com/about/the-boat-anne-mon-ii/ 📷 Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailingannemon/ 🛠️Watch our refit journey playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHgGaw1dpS5_VjMQI7M9VAgMQJ5zlaB4C&si=d6AFysVKD-G6_vsh 🌎 Check out our first sailing adventure playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHgGaw1dpS5_R9PXdy23vIX9IwvPsliTP&si=aJirDjtIELIxwxhb 💻 Learn about our first boat and adventures: http://sailingannemon.com/
