Since 2020, Iberian orcas, also known as killer whales, have been interacting with and attacking sailboats along the coasts of Portugal and Spain, often targeting the rudder. More than 500 encounters have been reported, and several boats have even sunk after these orca interactions. In this episode, we are sailing straight through known orca territory on our journey from Sweden to the Mediterranean.
