We sail to Lady Musgrave Island and navigate into the narrow passage to reach the lagoon. It is fascinating to walk around the island and find out about the birds that migrate here. We spot turtles in the water and recognise its importance as a turtle nesting site. When we leave the lagoon and head to the Great Keppel Islands, the weather does not look too good so we are expecting squalls and storms through the night. Την επόμενη μέρα, ενώ περνούσε από το Κάβο Ντόρο, ο καιρός επιδεινώθηκε και ο καπετάνιος αποφάσισε να καταφύγει στον κοντινότερο κόλπο, μετά από προσπάθειες να αγκυροβολήσει στο νότιο υπήνεμο τμήμα της βραχονησίδας Πάτροκλος, λόγω των ισχυρών ανέμων που επικρατούσαν, προσέκρουσε με την αριστερή του πλευρά στα βράχια και βυθίστηκε. Όλοι οι επιβάτες κατάφεραν να βγουν στην στεριά σώοι.Το ναυάγιο βρίσκεται κομμένο σε δύο μέρη. Το κομμάτι της πρύμης είναι όρθιο με αριστερή κλήση, ενώ το υπόλοιπο της πλώρης από το ναυάγιο βρίσκεται με την αριστερή πλευρά του στο βυθό. Η πλώρη του είναι σε βάθος 17 μέτρων και η πρύμνη σε βάθος 30 μέτρων, με όλο το ενδιάμεσο τμήμα του να είναι σκόρπιες λαμαρίνες μιας και το πλοίο είχε ξεκινήσει να κόβετε για σκραπ. Η πρόσβαση στην περιοχή του ναυαγίου γίνεται μόνο με σκάφος. Cargo ship Kyra Leni sunk in 1978 next to Patroklos island due to bad weather and in the process to find safe anchorage. Today its one of the favourite dive sites for many divers since the shallow depth and the relatively intact bow and stern parts of the ship allow for a relaxing wreck dive. The bow is situated at 18 meters depth whilst the stern at a depth of approximately 30 meters. In between various parts of the wreck are scattered on the seabed and the dive can continue with a nice wall dive. And winner of Catamaran’s 2019 Poetry Prize. Other awards include prizes from the Chester H. She received a fellowship from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, and her work has been nominated for three Pushcart Awards. She also has a word/music CD: Swearing, Smoking, Drinking,& Kissing (with Kim Addonizio). Joseph Millar’s first collection, Overtime, was a finalist for the 2001 Oregon Book Award. His second collection, Fortune, appeared in 2007, followed by a third, Blue Rust, in 2012. His latest collection Kingdom was released in February of 2017. He has won fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in such magazines as DoubleTake, TriQuarterly, The Southern Review, APR, and Ploughshares.
