Kochani, po pierwszej fali emocji i stresu informujemy że od 1,5 doby mamy na Poly awarię silnika. Jesteśmy wciąż na pełnym morzu. Obecnie mamy 140 mil do portu w Panamie, do którego będziemy wpływać w sobotę w trybie awaryjnym na żaglach zamiast do San Blas. W tym momencie nie możemy dokonać głębszej diagnozy co się stało z silnikiem czy przekładnią. Dopiero jak staniemy. Trzymajcie za nas kciuki żeby wszystko poszło sprawnie a awaria tylko błahostką. 🐟 Sortie mer et 1er mouillage sans coach ! Avec Sandrine, on avait prévu une belle sortie au mouillage près d’une zone rocheuse pour aller observer les poissons 🐠. Mais comme souvent en mer… tout ne s’est pas passé comme prévu 😅. De plus, ma chaîne d’ancre est allée se coincer sous une roche, et il a fallu cherche des solutions. 🌬️ Cette fois, j’ai pensé à hisser la grande voile face au vent et c’était beaucoup plus facile ! Our next big sailing leg takes us from Tahiti to Fiji. Here we expect visitors and from here we want to start our annual visit to Germany this year. The sailing leg from Tahiti to Fiji is about 3,500 km or 1,900 nautical miles. So directly 16 sailing days and nights. The route leads via Aitutaki, Cook Islands and Tonga. We will visit Morea, Raiatera and Bora-Bora. The weather is historically bad, so we don't do justice to these wonderful islands. A much longer stroke leads us to Aitutaki, 485 nM away, which is one of the Cook Islands scattered far in the Pacific. The inhabitants of Aitutaki have therefore dug an artificial access through the coral reef, which leads to a port under construction. We have ideal conditions, the sun is shining and the sea is smooth. Nevertheless, the entrance is difficult to identify and can only be recognized because of the concentrated counter-current. The passage is narrow and the lateral boundaries are difficult to make out, even in these ideal conditions. Aitutaki is a typical volcanic island surrounded by a fringing reef. A special feature here is that the lagoon, which is located between the reef and the island, cannot be reached by a natural passage.
