We leave the island of Antigua behind for an overnight sail to St Martin / Sint Maarten. The trip was only around 100 NM but was much slower than we thought as the forecast wind was much lighter. We made it to the anchorage at Baie de Marigot, St Martin where we stayed for a few days. There is plenty of room to anchor. It can be rolly at times. Allyson had done the online check-in process for the French side here: https://www.demarches-simplifiees.fr/ Access to the lagoon is via a lifting bridge: St Martin/Sint Maarten bridge times https://www.marinafortlouis.com/bridge-opening-times.html Once inside there is plenty of room to anchor but you must keep a close eye on your depth as it is very shallow in places. We spent around a week at anchor outside and then went into Geminga boatyard to redo the antifouling and change anodes. The boatyard owners are extremely helpful and friendly. English is spoken, but limited. Episode 433 : Hello Friends, On this episode I attempt to extend my visa and find that once again the Indonesian government has changed the rules and the immigration office refuses to extend my visa forcing me to have to clear out of the country early. Indonesia is known as the absolute worst country to deal with when it comes to paperwork for sailing through their country (as far as countries where people regularly cruise by sailboat). They constantly change the rules over night and make things even more complicated than they need to be. Many yachts clear out before the border because the harbor master at the final clear out office is known to be corrupt and rips off anyone who clears out there. On 12th November, while anchored off a tiny remote sand island called Pulau Panjang in Indonesia, No Regrets II was struck by direct lightning to the mast. The strike was devastating — it wiped out almost every electrical system onboard. In an instant, we lost: Navigation and instruments Engines Lighting Low and high voltage power systems Charging systems Communications Essentially everything electrical on the boat This episode is Part 1 of our real-time update series, documenting what we had to do to stabilise the boat, jury-rig critical systems, and begin the long, difficult journey back toward civilisation and eventual repairs. Odwiedzamy ostatnią miejscówkę Zatoki Botnickiej, a następnie żeglujemy bezpośrednio na Archipelag Turku.
