s/v Cloudy Bay (Hallberg Rassy 54) starts the Atlantic crossing, sailing from Gibraltar to Canary Islands, where we stop in Puerto Calero Marina, Lanzarote. We are now firmly westward bound. First night we have a very rough upwind sailing in +25kts gusting 32kts and wild sea, which made us turn towards Morocco for shelter. They are not exactly welcoming in Morocco, we have been declined entrance in harbors twice. In the third harbor, Mahamudia, we did manage to go in and shelter for a day and a half behind the harbor wall. Then we set off with 25kts N wind forecast which ended up gale force and breaking seas.
