While this model won’t be holding the title of flagship catamaran for very long, shortly handing it over to the 40M Sunreef Explorer and 49M Sunreef Power, the fact remains that this brand new 100-footer freshly launched in Gdańsk is turning heads with her blend of dark gray and pink gold finishes. A new demonstration of Sunreef's expertise in luxury custom catamarans. We got the chance to discover this model after her very first sea trials - the video and the full test will be published soon! This giant supercat was designed as a trans-oceanic vessel (5,280 US gallons / 20,000 liters of fuel) and can also be ordered in an Eco version. But the willingness to manage energy on board is already brought to the fore: the 100 Sunreef Power, for example, uses an ultramodern air conditioning system capable of running throughout the night without needing the support of a generator. The relaxation area on the main deck includes a large lounge area to port, with a 55" retracting TV and a custom designed bar on the starboard side. Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Seit vielen Jahren war eine Weltumsegelung mein (Hannes) großer Traum, den ich berufsbedingt zum Renteneintrittsalter verwirklichen wollte. Manchmal kommt das Leben aber anders als man plant. Im Frühjahr dieses Jahrs erhielt ich die Diagnose Morbus Parkinson. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich. The light and airy lounge and staterooms, large windows and Italian decor make this yacht a pleasure to be on board...and great value for money too!

The interior of this yacht is modern made out of light Slovenian oak, with floors of South African, massive Wengé. Layers and layers of all sorts of foam, 'glass, epoxy, and fairing compound have come to this big reveal of how this refrigerated chest will look when it goes into the boat—covered in contrasting cherry wood. Before then, though, it did seem like perhaps our experiment might have cost us our hard work on the three-piece lid we've been making! Between coats of this and that to get to the big reveal, we meet up with our new stainless steel fabricator friend, Evan Kelly, who comes to make three-dimensional patterns for the water tanks. He'll put those together sometime in the coming weeks at MS Fabrication, the business he owns in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
