We love to share our knowledge and experiences with you! We have all types of videos from fixing repairs, to sail trim, to relaxing videos to asmr long form sailing content. Come sail away with us every Sunday Morning. Kate and Curtis both learn how to sail when they were young. Kate was a junior sailor in Opti's and 420's while Curtis went cruising in the Great Lakes with his family. We met while sailing in a Melges 24 regatta and have been sailing together ever since. The first time we went cruising together as a couple was on a friends borrowed J Boats J 105 in the North Channel of Lake Huron and Canada (part of the Great Loop). Those few weeks, and watching other channels like Gone With the Wynns, Sailing Uma, Project Atticus, Delos, Nahoa, and Sailing La Vagabonde, convinced us that the sailing life was for us. We bought our boat, a J Boats J/46, in 2019 after spending years searching for the perfect bluewater sailboat to sail around the world. We were interested in a catamaran and monohulls, but loved the performance cruising design of the J(it is faster than most cruising catamarans). We spent six months refitting her in Rhode Island, before selling our house and cars, quitting our jobs, and leaving land life for good to become digital nomads, with the goal of sailing around the world via Cape Horn. We have since navigated over 12,000 miles together, through storms, big waves, pandemics, and lockdowns. We sailed to Maine, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Grenada, Sint Maarten, the Azores, Canary Islands, and Brazil, on our way south to Uruguay, Argentina, and Chile to sail around Cape Horn and into the Patagonia fjords. We never intended to become influencers or start a new YouTube sailing channel, but now it is what we do. We love sharing our experience and adventures with you. We have learned to fly the drone and edit videos, trying to produce relaxing and listenable videos for you to sail away and watch at home while having coffee on Sunday mornings. We hope we can inspire you to achieve your life goals and cross off those bucket list items also!

► Full test in Multihulls World 187: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/balance-442-44-feet-of-expertise-on-two-hulls ► The latest addition to the Balance family was launched at the Royal Cape Yacht Club in Cape Town late March, before being validated during seatrials under sail at the beginning of April. A few months later, the 442 was presented to the public in the USA - we were able go for a test sail in Annapolis. Like her big sistership, the 482, the Balance 442 has “broken” bows, i.e. straight near the waterline then inverted as they approach deck level. This new model also features the famous mobile helm station already seen on the 526 - the low position allows the helmsman to be perfectly protected. Thanks to the 442’s contained displacement, she achieved averages of 12 to 13 knots and nice peaks that topped 15. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: Balance Catamarans Architects: Phillip Berman and Anton Du Toit Length: 44’3” (13.5 m) Beam: 24’11” (7.6 m) Displacement: 26,000 lbs (11.8 t) Draft, boards down: 3’10”/7’1” (1.16/2.15 m) Air draft: 65’8” (20.01 m) Upwind sail area: 1,205 sq ft (112 m²) Motors: 2 x 29 HP Fuel capacity: 2 x 105 US gal (2 x 400 l) ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! Sorry there is no episode this week as Judy and I have been away. My father unfortunately passed away so I spent last week in Northern Germany. The episodes will continue next week, but for this week we have another in our series of boat reviews from Annapolis. I have to admit I am slightly upset by the way Oyster are going with their boats. It wasn't until we were onboard that I found out they have now switched their whole range to a twin ruddered configuration. I suppose the fact Oyster have always been synonymous with top end luxury boats means they would be tempted to follow the lead of other brands who are going all out to maximise interior space and produce a boat that values having settees next to the king sized bed in the aft cabin above actual sailing ability! As you might guess, I gave the salesman a bit of a hard time! Shouldn't we expect more from a company that runs an around the world rally? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow us on Instagram #svfairisle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PLEASE DO SUBSCRIBE - IT COSTS YOU NOTHING AND HELPS US OUT WITH THE YOU TUBE ALGORITHM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rather see our videos without ads?... ‘Disco Volante’ is a multi-award-winning Prestige 500 flybridge motor yacht. It is one of the most popular flagship motor yachts from Prestige for a good reason. What’s unique about ‘Disco Volante’ is, that aside from a couple of trips to the islands, this yacht has been fresh water kept her whole life. This well cared for yacht is ideal for entertaining with her large spaces on the flybridge, aft deck and opposing seating in the salon. Her solid hull design and ‘Class B’ offshore rating means she is a comfortable ride cruising up or down the Pacific Coast. With her 4-cabin layout and engine servicing all up to date this turn key motor yacht is a rare find in this size range. See additional information here: https://www.denisonyachtsales.com/yacht-listings/broker/50-Prestige-500-Flybridge-2016-Portland-Oregon/2794020
We look at a Jeanneau Sun Fizz liveaboard cruiser. This sailboat that is a bit closer to home and slightly larger with 3 cabins. Though I am not a big fan of the fin rudder we have to make sacrifices when boat shopping. This particular boat is set up to be powered at anchor. The family had it for 10 years 3 of which they cruised the Caribbean to Guatemala. This is a very thorough boat tour the ins and outs of this particular vessel. You can visibly see how excited we are to be taking this boat tour. I had been looking at this boat for months and even tried to see it in march while it still had snow on it. I had given up on this boat because the owner didn't seem motivated to sell and wanted to keep it another year. The boat is a really great bang for the buck especially because it would be imported and we would get a good exchange rate. However there is another SUN fizz on the market that has new rig and engine for less money BUT its a shole draft keel. Which is great in the Bahamas but not beating upwind doing the thorny path.

► Full test in Multihulls World 188. The Australian manufacturers have just moved into a new building and Roger Overell, director and founder of Lightwave, has completed the redesign of its flagship model, the Lightwave 45. While the specifications of the new 46 remain the same, the catamaran which has just been launched adopts inverted bows and a redesigned deckhouse with larger openings. The interior has also been to revised. The construction used – foam/glass/polyester sandwich with epoxy for the underwater hull – will guarantee excellent structural qualities. Customization is part of the yard’s philosophy. A forthcoming 52-footer is currently in the design stage. Our Australian correspondent Kevin Green was able to discover this novelty in Sydney – full test in a very forthcoming issue. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: Lightwave Yachts Length: 45’11” (14 m) Beam: 23’11” (7.3 m) Draft (skegs): 4’ (1.2 m) Displacement: 16,535 lbs (7.5 t) Engines: 2 x 50 or 55 HP Fuel: 210 US gal (800 l) Water: 210 US gal (800 l) ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! Listing Specifications & Price: We are proud to present BLUE STAR, that is not only the finest Little Harbor 53, but also one of the stars in the movie 'Failure to Launch', starring Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker. Designed by Ted Hood and built in the Lien Hwa shipyard in Taiwan, the Little Harbor line of sailing yachts was built for comfortable offshore sailing with top quality construction and pedigree. The cockpit is designed for single-handed sailing, with all controls easily reached from the helm. Inside, the generous beam and hull design lead to an interior that feels like a much larger yacht, providing exceptional living and storage space. Ideal for shallow waters, she features a deep, efficient centerboard that increases draft to 11'-4" when lowered. Built in 1988 and commissioned in 1989 BLUE STAR has only had two owners, the first for 15 years and the current owners for the past 17. Her second owner has kept her maintained by the same boat yard, the same engineer, and the same varnish / cosmetics expertise. She's never been chartered, and is kept in her own private slip in Oxford, MD on the Chesapeake Bay when in season. BLUE STAR has cruised the US East Coast and the Caribbean, and when not cruising south she has been kept protected by her full canvas winter cover. Below decks BLUE STAR's layout is especially focused on safety and offshore blue water sailing. All berths are equipped with lee cloths, the salon is designed to take full advantage of space, with a large curved dinette table and all safety reaches never out of arms distance. The aft owner's cabin has two oversized sea berths that each approach the size of a double bed with extra length. BLUE STAR sleeps six in three private staterooms, each with private head and shower. Starting forward there is a large storage area/bosun's locker with workbench and deck access. Aft of the forepeak are two identical guest staterooms, each with over/under berths and separate heads, including showers. Each cabin has a full cedar-lined hanging locker, several drawers, large lockers, opening ports, opening hatches and fans over each berth. Winter and summer custom fitted coverlets and sheets and monogrammed towels are available for each cabin. Two sets of fitted coverlets for each berth; one cream colored and the other a rich patterned winter coverlet, fitted sheets. monogrammed linens include towels, pillows, shams (with a monogram of Blue Star's design), napkins, glasses, stationery, and more. Paramount Pictures selected BLUE STAR to be featured as the sail boat in 'Bristol' condition for its movie, 'Failure to Launch' starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey. This selection was made after the Governor's office for Tourism referred their call to several boat yards and much competition from visited yachts resulted in BLUE STAR's selection. This selection speaks to the pristine condition of the yacht. BLUE STAR's role resulted in signed logs by Sarah and Matthew; one extra, transparent Bimini; and one set of new 'blue' cockpit cushions (desire of the Director, but in the end BLUE STAR's white cushions were chosen). Here's a look round my Norfolk Gypsy, a 20' gunter-rigged sailing boat. (In the video I say "gaff-rigged", but actually it's a gunter rig). She's a shoal-draft boat (0.5m draft with centreboard up) - so able to explore shallow rivers and creeks, but also substantial enough for passages along the coast. I run through all the main elements on deck, in the cockpit and in the cabin.

This is the first in our series of boat tours of the best cruising boats at Annapolis 2022. Perhaps the most impressive boat at Annapolis was the Passport 615, it got a lot of attention but we managed to get on board and have a good look around. The 615 might be a little large (and expensive!) for your average cruising couple however so we wanted to show a perhaps more attainable version of the Passport and luckily for us our patrons Jeff and Amanda had their (new to them) Passport 456 moored just around the corner so we went for a visit. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow us on Instagram #svfairisle -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE DO SUBSCRIBE - IT COSTS YOU NOTHING AND HELPS US OUT WITH THE YOU TUBE ALGORITHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rather see our videos without ads?... ► Full test in Multihulls World 188: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/motor/cheetah-adventure-720-a-utility-vessel-for-leisure-boating Cheetah is well known in the UK: the brand has produced nearly 400 motor catamarans over the past 30 years. Designed from the start to take on the rollers of the exposed beaches on the Isle of Wight, the first model initiated a complete range of powercats perfectly adapted to the demanding constraints of various services – firefighters, response operations, diving etc. The Adventure model, developed from the proven hull of the 720, features a bulwark opening to starboard, which provides a 10 by 12½-foot (3 x 3.8 m) deck when at anchor. A metal frame, not unlike a roof-rack you might find on a 4x4 that also goes on adventures, can be fitted to carry equipment (bikes, paddleboards, etc). A tent is also available so you can spend a night or two on board. ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: Cheetah Marine Catamarans Length: 22’8” or 23’7” (6.9 m or 7.2m) Beam: 8’4” (2.55 m) Draft: 12” (0.3 m) Engines: 2 x 80 HP - 100 HP outboards Fuel: 2 x 26 US gal (2 x 100 l) ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! ► Full test in Multihulls World 187: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/dazcat-1295-two-hulls-no-compromises Darren Newton, the designer-builder of the Dazcat range, likes to validate his work by racing his catamarans, even those (such as the 1295) that are oriented towards blue water cruising. Designed to sail far and long-term with a short-handed crew, the 12.95 is also often the fastest in a race, even on a technical course. The designer and shipyard are very exacting on the weight calculations and weight centering. As with all Dazcats, each owner has a margin of customization according to his or her program. This is a most talented cat! ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: Multimarine Manufacturing Ltd Length: 42’6” (12.95 m) Beam: 21’4” (6.50 m) Light displacement: 11,575 lbs (5.25 t) Draft: 2’8”/7’7” (0.80/2.30 m) Mainsail: 645 sq ft (60 m²) Genoa: 323 sq ft (30 m²) Asymmetric spi: 1,560 sq ft (145 m²) No. of cabins: 2 to 4 Water: 132 US gal (500 l) Diesel: 31 US gal (120 l) Engines: 2 x 21 HP ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! Full test in Multihulls World Special Issue Power 19: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/motor/invincible-33-a-real-sport-fishing-catamaran South Florida-based powerboat builder Invincible produces a number of powerboats, including a powercat range with six models up to 46 feet in length. The Invincible 33 is the smallest of these but is certainly not lacking in character: with its Morrelli & Melvin hulls and Mercury Verado 400 outboards, the boat managed to reach speeds of over 50 knots on its first seatrials. The 33 turns without heeling outwards, and remains perfectly level at all speeds, without the need for any specific trim or ballast. This model is already seeing great success in the USA, and the Invincible brand is now distributed in Europe. We are really enjoying this life and sharing everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

[SOLD] BALI 4.0 - 2017 Layout: 4 cabins In the Bali family, I ask for the little brother! With the 40 footer, the Bali range is now completely homogeneous. Like its bigger brothers the 4.3, 4.5 and 5.4, the Bali 4.0 offers an open space between the cockpit and the saloon. A retractable door on pneumatic struts makes it possible to switch from cozy mode (closed) to lounge mode (open on the mooring)… On the 4.0, we find the forward cockpit and the very pleasant bay windows which disappear completely to provide optimum ventilation. With more than 300 units built in the last 5 years, the second-hand market is now opening up for this bestseller. Contact us now to sell your catamaran or multihull !
