Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! A combined Sydney and Lake Macquarie RAID group sailed down the lake for an overnight camp on the Sand Islands. It was finally good to get Sojourner back on the water for my first sail in 2026.

Our dog seems to be scare of water and food bowl both inside and outside the house. I have tried putting things under the bowls cause I thought maybe it was the sound.
