Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! Esse entrou em erupção em 1957, formando uma ponta adicional na ilha. Existia um farol que era a ponta mais avançada, mas depois desse vulcão ficou um pouco pra trás. Visitamos o museu e subimos no farol que já está desativado. Aqui ao pé do vulcão foi o montado o pórtico de chegada da corrida que falei anteriormente.
