Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! The ➰ Snuggle Hitch is super-charged Clove Hitch that is stronger and more secure. Use it for attaching a line to a spar or rope. It works for both lengthways and right-angled pulls. Easy to release and only seconds longer to tie than the Clove. 🔸 Wrap the line around and bring the working end across diagonally from right to left over the standing part. 🔸 Lead the working end back over & lead it up behind, over diagonally from left to right.
