What to do in Horta Island

After three weeks at sea, some things just feel… different. Have you ever been in a situation where you suddenly can’t do something, and then it becomes the thing you want more than anything? That’s what sailing does to you. I’m normally not even a big fan of running, but out there all I could think about was how badly I wanted to move my body properly again. To walk. To run. To stretch without falling over. So arriving in Horta felt amazing for so many reasons. We went for walks, runs, proper workouts. And honestly, it felt incredible. Funny how quickly normal things become luxuries out there. And Horta itself was such a cool experience. It’s truly a sailor town. You can feel it everywhere. We went to Peter Café Sport, painted our logo on the harbor wall like sailors have done for years, and just got to experience all those little traditions you hear about before arriving. Super grateful we made it there.
