If you’ve been thinking about trying therapy, go to https://www.betterhelp.com/atticus to get 10% off your first month of therapy. We’re getting close to the end of the rough-in phase on our mountain home build, but before we can move on to insulation and drywall, we have to pass framing inspection — and that means a lot more than just framing. In this episode, I’m juggling a framing punch list, last-minute material ordering, trim paint, gas line planning, HVAC rough-in details, and porch roof design — all while trying not to slow down the siding crew. We work through inspector notes, install truss screws, frame the attic ladder opening, pressure test the gas line, solve an HVAC condensate drain conflict, plan dryer vent and bath fan duct runs, tighten anchor bolts, add framing straps, and finish a final interior wall. This is a real look at construction project management on a small house build: coordinating subcontractors, solving rough-in conflicts, handling framing inspection prep, and getting HVAC, gas, and framing approved so the build can keep moving.
