What is daily life like on sailing catamaran? I'll show you!

Ryan works long hours but with me (Lauren) unable to work the way I had pre-pandemic, I get asked A LOT by my NYC friends about how I fill my days while living on our Fountaine Pajot 43 Belize sailing catamaran. I found that I was struggling to explain how I spend my day to day, despite feeling like my schedule is quite full. I decided set up the camera and take you all along for the ride I that I simply call my boat life. Disclaimer: In case you catch yourself feeling sorry for me....don't. I didn't set out to film an exceptionally challenging day, but that is exactly what it turned out to be and sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches. I'd say I have days like this only about every 4th day. Other days can be filled with lighter, happy things including exercise, enjoying music jam sessions on the beach, and dancing and dinner with friends. I also don't take for granted the clean, breathable air, the welcoming locals, the wonderfully generous sailing community, the sound of the waves, being barefoot almost all the time, the thriving wildlife, the beautiful blue sky, and the bright stars at night. I remember once- when we were still trying to buy our boat- watching a Youbtube video by Gone with the Wynns and they mentioned how when living on a boat, you can expect pretty much everything you'd do in normal daily life to take 2 to 3 times longer than normal. This couldn't be more true. But you know what? I still feel like it's worth it. So yeah. Now you know where my time goes. And you know what? I'm proud of it. If anything...it builds character.
