WE Explore Medellin, Colombia | Episode 50

WE|Sail takes a week off from sailing and travels inland to Medellin, Colombia. Our adventures bring us inland as we leave the boats in the hands of the marina for 6 days. We arrive in the mountains of Medellin, already a few degrees cooler than the coastal city of Cartagena. We can see why the call it “The City of Eternal Springs”. For 3 days we take in the history, culture and awe of a city that packs a punch twice its size. We cruise up to the hillside barriors where homes built of brick are packed on top of each other all the way up to the ridges. A visit to Communa 13, a revamp neighborhood that was once the most dangerous city in the world. Visit museums and travel on every public works system available. The next 3 days were spent an hour outside the city in the countryside and heart of Antiquia to the small but bright colonial town of Guatape. We climb up a giant rock and take in one of the best views in the world. Thank you for watching the Adventures of WE!
