Between crazy 4:00 AM Uber rides, major flight delays sitting on the tarmac at JFK, and missing our rental car window in Virginia, getting back to the US turned into total chaos. ​Worst of all? We were racing against the clock to pick up our senior dog, Bella, who was being transported separately by a specialized pet air transport service.
