The furler got jammed, the tack line chaffed through, the bowsprit block exploded and then the sail got dumped into the water when we tried to get the sail down on deck. Talk about a nightmare! The only good news of all this is that it happened at the beginning of our passage to Brazil and the rest of the sail was way less dramatic! Thanks for watching!
