We did an epic hike in the island of Oa Pou in the Marquesas of French Polynesia. It was a long and steep hike which at times was between two very steep slopes and required ropes in several places. We love hiking and despite the initial resistance, we found many benefits for our kids. On the way down we found 'Manfred' a man who has made his home here in the forest where he makes the most delicious chocolate and attempts to live a self sufficient life by powering his home from the energy of the river.
