Dealing with bad weather when cruising in an area which is new to us is very different to when sailing in home waters we know (we rarely sail in waters we already know). Here we share some of our thinking and how we are continually re-evaluating where is the best place to weather a gale and the preparations we make to keep us and Florence safe in bad weather.
