Welcome to Singa Besar — a deserted island in the Andaman Sea where sailors from all over the world gather for one of the most iconic cruising traditions in Southeast Asia. 🌴⛵🔥 Every other Friday, we sail over with the Langkawi cruising community for a beach fire BBQ, music, stories, and a whole lot of laughter. From homemade salads and shared meals to chasing off monkey thieves who are way too interested in our food… every trip to this island is pure chaos in the best way. This weekend we sailed from Rebak island Langkawi, to Singa Besar dropped anchor between a dozen other boats, and spent two full days doing what sailors do best: ✨ cooking on the famous Yachty-built brick BBQ ✨ cliff jumping, swimming, exploring the island ✨ meeting friends, sharing drinks, telling stories ✨ keeping the monkeys away (barely 😂) ✨ singing, dancing, and watching the sunset from the boats Singa Besar has become one of the best sailing traditions in Malaysia — and after this video, you’ll see exactly why.
