Sailor James visits The Outerknown Tahiti Pro Surf Competition at TEAHUPO'O 2022 with Nate P Mayer

Episode #268 : Season 9 : The South Pacific Hello Friends, On this weeks episode I head out to watch one of the biggest surf competitions in the world, The Outerknown Tahiti Pro at Teahupo'o. I was invited to head out to the end of the road in Tahiti with a fellow sailor and cinematographer, Nate P Meyer ( www.instagram.com/natepmeyer ) Nate flew in from Montana to film and Competition so I tagged along and we headed out on the water on a taxi boat sitting right at the surf break. I am not overly knowledgable about professional surfing but I have of course heard of Kelly Slater and it was incredible to watch him surf so close by. https://www.worldsurfleague.com/events/2022/ct/11/outerknown-tahiti-pro/main We also ended up making some new friends, Jay West and Hunter Paris.
