Battling bureaucracy to check out on our boat, this is the most difficult process we have ever faced to leave. Leaving a country by yacht is not as simple as walking through the airport and getting your passport stamped on the way. Our challenge is to manage it without being forced to pay a bribe. This is just yet another challenge as part of sailing Florence across the Indian Ocean. We are a British couple who set off from England in 2016 to fulfil our dream of sailing around the world on our 37ft sail boat, Florence.
