Sailing from Hawaii to California - The Long Voyage Home (July 2025)

In this episode, Andy from @sailingsole joins as crew as we sail the final passage on the 2024-2025 Great Pacific Adventure: Hawaii to California. We sail 3115 nautical miles from Hilo Hawaii to Two harbors, Catalina Island to Keeldragger's slip in San Pedro California in a little over 27 days. This July's North Pacific High pressure system is completely out of whack and throws us a few curve balls, but we maintain our morale and Keeldragger takes good care of us throw a range of difference wind conditions and sea states. Since leaving San Pedro at the end of October, 2024, we racked up a total of 11,750 nautical miles from California to Baja California to the Mexican Mainland, Sea of Cortez, and French Polynesia. We did the passage from Puerto Vallarta to the Nuku Hiva, Marquesas, French Polynesia single-handed. We also sailed from the Marquesas to the Tuamotus to the Society Islands single-handed visiting Nuku Hiva, Rangiroa, and Tahiti.
