Jo has been managing a shoulder injury and having failed to find anyone to put it right in Fiji, we decide our only option is to head back to Auckland to get it treated. While there , we visit family, shop for food and boat spares and fit in a sneaky visit to the NZ Boat Show. After a crazy busy week, we head back to Fiji and wait for a decent weather window to travel across the bottom of Viti Levu and up the eastern coast. We spend our time restocking the larder and making good use of the marina facilities. We crack through some boat jobs and give DT a damn good clean. Once our weather window comes up we head out and have a fabulous downwind sail 72nm to Momi Bay on the east coast. We had no sailing experience whatsoever, so the past few years have been a huge learning curve. We thought it might be fun to document our travels for anyone thinking of following a similar lifestyle. So far we have visited 7 different countries and sailed over 13,000 nautical miles. We have had many unique experiences that would not have been possible in our prior life and we don’t regret a second. We're both super keen on protecting our precious environment, so amongst other things, we both follow a plant based diet. You wont find any fishing footage on this channel!
