S2E8 Not the best day on the sailboat... stormy 29 knot wind The Boat Life sailing travel vlog

Our trip to the Bahamas has definitely not gone to plan. Boaters know that the plan often changes and sometimes gets completely thrown out the window. After personal attempts to repair the engine we decided we needed to return to our home dock to get some help. The trip from Venice to Longboat Key proved to be the bumpiest Stormy leg yet. With the engine running at ONLY half a knot and wind surges of 30 plus knot winds with sustained 29 knots, oh and add on top 5 foot seas in the bay! We had to throw an anchor and wait out the storm on the dock. A short but memorable trip on the ICW. This is The Boat Life. Nic Morganti and Melissa Auman are moving onto a sailboat.
