Playing With Sail Plans Whilst Beating in an F4 with F5 Gusts

This is my first real testing sail in Lulu, my Drascombe Lugger. You can see in the previous video just how hard it was to even get aboard her today so i'm looking forward (if not a little scared!!) to sailing her in some "proper" wind at last!!! With a classic Bala S.Westerley, we have a good play about with the sails and test out which plan is the best for this weather. It was really interesting to see how the boat pointed and performed under various sails. Personally i'm stating to love sailing under Jib and Mizzen. The Lugger is so versatile and she comes into her own in these conditions.
