Painting our Sailboat's Waterline. Antifouling, Epoxy, Gelcoat & Hull Maintenance in the Boat Yard

Although we made some general boat yard blogs, here we delve deeper into the maintenance of the hull - the epoxying, antifouling, gelcoat and repairs we did. So if you're not a boat maintenance fan.. this probably isn't the video for you! The trickiest job was measuring, taping and repainting the waterline. We noticing our sailboat's stern was sitting heavy in the water and blistering was beginning to appear above the antifoul line.. so urgent action was needed! We used Hempels polyenamel paint to do the rub-rail and bootline, Gelshield 2 pack epoxy for osmosis protection and Jotuns Seaforce 90 for the antifoul. It wasn't the only tricky job we tackled. We also repaired gelcoat damage under one of the chainplates and beneath the rubbing strake.
