With no outboard engine (stolen!) and no rudders (stored below deck), we have to rely on sails and small steering oars to navigate the eight nautical miles to Fare. The first stretch goes smoothly—until we need to turn... Just when things seem impossible, unexpected help arrives in the form of Manea and Nahima, sailing an outrigger canoe. With their assistance, we manage to set the course and continue through crystal-clear turquoise waters, spotting stingrays and eagle rays along the way.
