It took us 10 months to sail here! We finally made it after broken ankles, broken boats and broken engines, to the iconic white beaches and turquoise clear waters of the Whitsundays. Slim is determined to beat Soph in every board game onboard Nakama and is not afraid to rub it in. He makes up for it by cooking dinner and showing you all how to make our classically good, extremely simple flatbreads that are perfect for cruisers between bakeries or anyone wanting to get basic. We wake and swim in the clear waters before pulling up anchor to head to Tongue Bay to do the Hill Inlet lookout walk, where you can look down on the white silica sand, islands and water to gain a perspective like no other. This Queensland heat is starting to kick in, so of course, another swim does us good. Seriously this place is Australias Bahamas.
