Is the Centerboard on our sailboat a PROBLEM? | Episode 180 When we first bought Saoirse, we had no idea why there was a large pulley sitting on the counter. Low and behold we found out it was for our centerboard. We did a little bit of maintenance to it before we set off on our adventure. But since we’ve had leaking issues at the pin, we want to drop it and inspect for any damage or other leak points. It also needs a fresh coat of paint.
