IMPI TAKES DIESEL FROM A SHIP AT SEA - passage New Zealand

Damaged from a severe squall on our passage from New Caledonia to New Zealand, Impi needs to make use more of her engines for fear of a dis-masting. Short of diesel what does one do in such a position? Well, for us - we simply hailed a passing ship at sea, but, despite the generosity of the Captain the task was going to prove to be more difficult than initially thought. Many lessons learned here and a successful passage albeit 1 day longer than expected.
