This hurricane hole plays hard to get. Times are changing and good marinas are getting harder to find in Florida. We searched from Sarasota to Cayo Costa to Okeechobee even the East Coast. One had just lost its permit for a rail haulout, inconveniencing scores of multihull owners. Another couldn’t hoist our 20' beam. Another only had in-water storage. And the ones on the East coast were just plain pricey and refused to let you live on, or work on, your own boat. But one place was quietly suggested to us.
