First Sail of the Year in our ELECTRIC Sailboat - Ep. 14 [ Sailing Ixion ]

We finally made it to our first sail of the year in our electric sailboat, which just happens to be Labor Day weekend. But in Ixion fashion, we still have work to do. Join us on our new expedition! After what felt like an eternity, we finally are able to head out for a short period for a little shake down sail. It isn't a journey just yet, but it was still nice to see what we have been working for for the last six or so months. It definitely felt like the beginning of our new journey. We still have to do a proper shake down to test the limits and power consumption of the electric motor. But first, we have to shake the cobwebs out and sail Ixion. It's the first of the year and we couldn't be more excited!!! Next stop, our sail south to Florida! Of course though, we have a few tiny projects left to do before Ixion is live aboard ready!
