First look Underwater after Hurricane Lowell 10-1-26

Hurricane Lowell wreaked havoc on Kauai the evening of September 7, 2026. The destruction was widespread, and the waves on the south shore demolished our coastline and destroyed our harbors. The community has come together in the most incredible way to move boulders, clear roads, and we were finally able to gain access to our ocean to see what the impact was on our reefs. The coral damage is heartbreaking and extensive - but there are encouraging signs of life too. The Sheraton Caverns is our most requested dive site, known for its incredible structure, turtles, and corals. Nature is resilient... we will recover! #KauaiStrong
