Finally Testing Our Highfield Dinghy

We bought a brand new Highfield 340 CL to prepare for cruising and wejust completed the break in period on our brand new Tohatsu 20 hp engine. Now it's time to open the Tohatus 20hp outboard up to full throttle and see how fast our Highfield will go. We love our Highfield 340 RIB ( Dinghy ) and we are having a lot of fun exploring the local areas of Coastal South Carolina. Today we visited Sandy Island which has deep, rich history. Our Highfield RIB was the perfect boat to reach the island and we were able to beach the Highfield with no struggle at all. Sandy Island is inhabited by 50 or so decedents of one man in the late 1800 who was a freed west African Slave brought here to work on the rice plantations. The cultural significance of the island is huge and there is a noticeable calm and peaceful presence of those who previously inhabited Sandy Island as you explore the trails. Thanks for watching!
