Exploring Dunk Island - A Paradise Rebuilding (Ep.39) | Sailing ARGO

Dunk Island was once a thriving resort destination before Cyclone Yasi struck in 2011, leaving much of it in ruins. Today, the island is slowly coming back to life. There’s a beautiful new glamping area, a fantastic amenities block, a relaxed café serving cold beers and great food, and a stunning beach perfect for unwinding. While the old resort buildings still bear the scars of the storm – with trees even growing through some of the rooves – it’s heartening to see signs of renewal. Dunk Island remains a magical spot, and it’s well worth the visit to experience both its natural beauty and its story of resilience. Thanks for watching.
