Ep 5 | Sailing Chelsea | Sailing across the Bay of Biscay!

In this episode of Sailing Chelsea, we finally leave La Rochelle, France, after a fantastic, but busy, couple of weeks. We have met some amazing friends and are sad to leave but also excited to complete our Bay of Biscay crossing! Typically, the weather predictions have changed and so we decide to head for Santander instead of Gijon, as very strong winds are predicted near to there and we want to stay well away from them! The crossing itself goes well but we have the usual Sailing Chelsea dramas, one being our sail bag lines chaff through in the middle of the night. Not a problem until you come to lower the sails! Ryan manages to catch a fish but unfortunately the hook gets caught in the net in our tender and we can't retrieve the fish in time to save our tender from looking like a crime scene - well done Ryan!
