GB1 AC40 crash with Tudor Team Alinghi chase boat in Naples

On Wednesday in Naples while practising ahead of the second Louis Vuitton Americas’ Cup Preliminary Regatta, the GB1 AC40 was involved in a collision with the Tudor Team Alinghi chase boat. Thankfully no-one was seriously injured, with GB1 helm Dylan Fletcher picking up a black eye, but the starboard foil arm of their AC40 was seriously damaged. We take a look at the collision, the damage, and how the shore team replaced the foil arm overnight with one donated by Tudor Team Alinghi while they repaired their own.
